Productivity requires new thinking and changing of habits.
We are creatures of habit. At least I am. Take any major fast food franchise and I can tell you what I will order. I don’t even need to look at the menu. When I find something that works for me I grasp on to it and don’t seem to change for anything short of a hugely compelling argument or realization.
On a bike ride recently I learned about the value of making a change. Here’s my thoughts:
Are you stuck in a rut? from Troy Malone on Vimeo.
Tying into this discussion of being in a rut, one of our users, Tony wrote something about us that made me smile. In his piece, he commented:
“Pelotonics has decided that customer support is central to their model. Almost every company would say that. But this company also decided to redefine what customer support means.”Â
What a great way of saying what we feel! It’s true that our customers are our number one priority. It is also true that we have had to make some changes from conventional practices to make this apparent. I am glad that we met Tony and expect to have many more interactions as we go down the road together.
So, with that having been said, what are you in a rut with? Make some changes. Some things will work and others won’t. One thing is true…if you don’t change, you will stay the same and that is either a good or bad thing depending on your situation!
